Description

You are bidding on a very rare original antique print from an 1880s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer as the breed looked like over 135 years ago! This is about 10 years after the first stud book for GSPs was created.
The caption roughly translates to:  German Pointer
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area is about
8.5 x 5.5 inches (21.5 x 14 cm), with a French caption below and text above it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
